I’ll start by saying that I’ve listened to far worse LitRPG books. While I did not think this series was great, it is in the better half of it’s genre.

The in game part of this book (and the rest of the series) isn’t bad, but the real world parts are a waste of time.
There are unique characters that stand out from the others (more so in the later books). Unfortunately I didn’t find any of them all that interesting, but at least the author tried, and other people might like the characters more.
The humor in the books did nothing for me. I powered through the entire series and don’t think I even cracked a smile at the attempted humor. It was *mostly* clean humor though, not too many stupid sex jokes just for the sake of saying naughty words.
There wasn’t a whole lot of cursing, and most of that was “shadow crap.” Either cuss or don’t, to me saying shadow crap instead of just crap or something stronger seems like a kid trying to get away with cussing.
There are some major plot holes in the series, but if you can ignore them, you might enjoy the story.
