NOTE: I stopped listing to this series after book 6.
I thought this series has some potential. I found this first book fun and entertaining! The voice actor though…. He is clear and easy to understand. That is about all the praise I can offer. He’s just got a voice for a college lecture that you would sleep through.
Books 2 and 3 were also pretty good… or at least entertaining enough for me to get past the narrator. I only made it to book 6 because I have a bit of a completionist streak. By book 4 I was groaning and falling asleep. I felt like the writing was taking a downturn or at least the concepts being rehashed over and over. I may have felt different with a better narrator, maybe the writing was just fine and I had burned out on the performance.
