Overall I would give the set a 4.25 out of 5. It was an enjoyable military sci/fi series, with a heavy religious tone. The story was interesting, and the main character arch showed growth. The author had some instances where his time frames were a bit off, but overall it was well done. I disagree with how one of the situations was handled in the third book, but it was probably more realistic than what I would have imagined. I will probably pick up the fourth book in the series at some point in the future, once my TBR list is down a bit.
