I can’t even grasp what the author thought he was doing with this installment. It’s pretty much just garbage.

He has trouble writing a compelling romantic subplot so let’s focus on that heavily and add some very badly done paternal complications and make half the book about that.

Now let’s go back to focusing on the split personality subplot but let’s completely contradict ourself about what’s going on with this issue, so not only is it tedious but is also inconsistent.

It’s actually worse than just some weak decisions in how to handle some plotlines. Each major section of the book feels like a filler episode. There is like 10 minutes of plot development crammed between several hours of filler.
