Among my other small gripes that go with this series like ‘enemies too strong’ or ‘lacking a sense of freedom’ or ‘hit points getting in the way of the story’, here is one that most authors in the litrpg genre seem to dabble in.

City-building or mass-combat. Why is this bad? For some it might certainly sound awesome- building a great city or leading an army to destroy your enemies!… however, almost without fail, this devolves into a numbers game. An endless grind for a bigger number.

I personally find this to be a kind of failing or example of lazy writing on the author’s part.
