This book ends up in the “So good my wife had to confiscate my head phones to get my attention” pile.

The fight between good and evil is part of the theam of the book, and the author does an impressive job of confusing the reader as to whether that fight is between humanity and the Anubis, or within humanity itself. What is human instinct, and what is alien? I enjoyed the flawed but engaging characters, the pace, and the intense sex-scenes. The alien factor was sometimes slightly alienating (sic) in the sex scenes, but again the needs of the man and the needs of the alien sometimes blurred in ways that made the reader think.

Nox’s memory loss is at first a little annoying, but as the reason becomes clear the annoyance goes away and I was even more gripped by the story.

Kirt Graves did an outstanding job with the narration, and never more so than when the Anubis spoke. The hairs stood up on my neck!
