How ominous is this book right now in July 2020. Bobby Akart is a master of PA suspense with the story of the Ryman family, as they make their way out of Nashville. It’s nonstop action and suspense. Akart makes the idea of after a solar flare believable with the constant barrage of action and the idea that man is depraved. So with this in mind, there is no rest. There’s no cursing or unsavory happenings. Just the idea that people will take whatever they want when they have nothing. It’s terrifying.
Kevin Pierce is the best narrator in the business. He literally makes every book he reads come to life, off the pages. Brilliant performance as always.
