Think of Firefly, Harry Potter, the sound of music (minus the singing), Jurassic Park, and a few space shows all got mashed into a single series. I really tried to listen to and like this audio book series. I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t believe a lot of the character interactions and had trouble finding or understanding the character motivations. I found the moral arguments made were to weak to move me, and could not understand how they were supposed to move a group of people who blatantly sidestepped the law. The series had potential, but I couldn’t get past the characters.
