Up until Chapter 7 or 8 I was ready to drop this series and give it one star. I went through an entire battle scene and hardly realized I was going through one. The scenes seemed over described instead of flowing naturally, and the characters weren’t standing out well enough for me. But, then something happened around Chapter 7. The uniqueness of a twinborn, living in separate worlds, but sharing each other’s memories snagged me. From there the series just got better and better: warlocks, demons, immortals, dragons, pirates, coinblades, knights, betrayals, mad kings, and undead. I’m glad I made it through the first several chapters.
