I enjoyed this book but so many of the “twists” are much too obvious and the weird switch between good and bad events makes the story feel weird and disjointed.

I got bored of the constant “the rich are bad and get handed everything, feel bad for MC because he is poor” stuff it became SO tiring also mike and company are just boring antagonists.

I must say that the sister and some other characters were fun and decently written, but the sister is used a bit too much as a plot device in my opinion. I rolled my eyes a good bit throughout this book because of the over done hardship and tedious nature of the pacing and some events.

Travis is an amazing narrator as always and I do plan on getting the second book and hope that the back and forth between good events and bad events/somewhat simplistic pacing is resolved.
