This is an interesting series, but there are some definite deterrents. The content is more sexually focused than other EMP series, and crude. The characters are just all around unsavory, save Mandy and a few others. But this is the apocalypse. However, in spite of this, the complexities of an invasion of America and all that entails make this a very complex story. The reader is left guessing as to how this will work out and who will be left standing. There are many moving parts to this story, as this series gets into more than just the fall out of an EMP attack. So we’ll see where this goes before coming to too many judgements.
Without Kevin Pierce this would not be worth listening to. He’s the best narrator out there, so that is a more than fair assessment.
