With the quarantine going on I need to get lot more mileage out of my audible credits so this seemed like it might be an easy story to while away some time with. I am not new to the author, narrator, or this general cast of characters having listened to the Galaxy Outlaws series a couple of years ago so I kind of knew what I was getting into.

The characters were an assembly of some of the most unlikable, unrelatable, and one dimensional retrograde characters I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. The characters could blather on for hours and have almost no growth in character. One of the characters was extremely sexist which wouldn’t be too bad in my opinion as that gives some real world variety if he wasn’t essentially a slimier clone of one the characters from his other story. The story was ridiculous with an absolutely unbelievable existential crisis for the galaxy and driven by a main character whose inane babel about it was not interesting to me.

The narrator did an excellent job voicing the distinct characters and giving them some life. If not for the performance I probably would not have slogged my way through this audio book.
