You are a survivor setting the world on fire with your truth. And you never know who needs your light, your warmth and raging courage. ~Alex Elle~

This book was everything!!! I feel raw after going through Yanni’s journey. I adore Peter though; what a strong, wonderful man for always giving Yanni what he needed. Whether it was time, space, strength to lean on and most of all his friendship. I know this was another slow burn but it desperately needed to be. If the author wouldn’t have gone into the depth of the story like they did and just had Yanni/Peter fall in love and work through everything flawlessly like some books do I would have given up on it. I can’t stand it when abuse and PTSD is played down like the person doesn’t have severe triggers. That’s why this ended up being such an amazing story! The author really took the time to lay everything out and it was so realistic. It didn’t feel rushed and that’s why the two parts were perfect. I also loved the side characters and really felt for them. Tyler’s story was heartbreaking. I’m so happy they got some sort of justice from that monster! Also, Yanni’s roommates were the highlight to this wonderful book, every time you think you’re done crying or going through all the feelings someone else’s experience tears you open and leaves you wondering when your heart is going to be able to be put back together. Absolute Perfection!
