Let me start off by saying Jeff Hays himself brought me into this series. That by no means has impacted my review of this book. You know, partisan, ism, whatever you get what i mean im trying to be impartial here….
So it starts off pretty interesting with Jason and Henry wind up in the other world, listening to the initial battles and them finding out about the world is a listen to remember. Some of the concepts are weird, and the fact that the author says “without humor” after smiles, glances, laughs, giggles….i can say yeah I get it without humor. It kinda becomes sparse at the end but the beginning is full of them.
It’s a very entertaining story, obviously not without its plot holes, but i’d give it a solid 8/10.
Jeff’s narration is a 10/10 as always for me.
