The storyline is excellent. I read it more than a decade ago as a child in my aunt’s house, and it stuck with me so much that I had to find it again. Unfortunately, some of the narrator’s voices sounded kind of silly (Josh, Mark, and Billings- especially) and really took away from how I imagined the characters.
Also took away from the creepiness of the story, to suddenly hear the exaggerated dumb jock sounding voice for Josh, or the whiny high pitched voice for Mark, or the cartoonist “spooky” voice for the butler. Reading the book itself is preferable for me.
