“All the people I love end up dead.” This seems to be the mantra for Callie as her story continues to unfold in this wonderful series! What’s not to love when you have a Circus where someone is killed every month, zombies inhabit the swamps along with the alligators and snakes, and ghosts come back to life every time the Circus opens?

Callie has managed to rid the island of Samuel and has taken his place, but she really doesn’t have a clue what that means. There doesn’t seem to be anyone who can help her figure out how to control the ghosts, zombies and other creatures that threaten her and the rest of the islanders. “Loneliness might be worse than death.”

Without giving away too much of the plot, Ms. Loth has managed once again to rip out her reader’s hearts and throw them against the wall in this book. Be prepared to have a couple of good cries as you read this one! And, be prepared for some unexpected twists in this one as well. Ms. Loth really caught me off guard this time!

The narrator, Sarah Puckett, does a great job and added a lot to my enjoyment of this book. Even though I had previously read the ebook version, the Audible version is even better due to her performance.

I can’t wait to see what happens next since this book ends on a huge cliffhanger!
