I truly loved this audiobook. The story was sexy, beautiful and emotional. The both Vic and Amani struggle with being true to themselves with some aspect of their lives and having strength and great confidence in others. Something I think we all can empathize with in this lovingly written and narrated story.
Mixing the worlds of music, D/S, BDSM play and corporate shenanigans makes this story pretty full, but I did not find it distracting, having lots of components going on at the same time worked for me, in fact, I thought it fit perfectly. Each aspect brought something more to this tale of opposites and carnal attraction.
I throughly enjoyed the lavish descriptions of fabric and clothing, music and instruments, emotions and sensual touch. I found this to be a richly constructed feast for the senses! Everything together combined to be a truly beautiful and sensitive story.
This is a book that I will enjoy listening to many times in the future, one of those rare ones that don’t grow old, just better with each listen.
