Normandie Alleman just keeps me falling for the sea! This second installment to Pirates of the Jolie Rouge had me enthralled in the insights of living with a pirate. It’s been two years since Frederica has joined Gaston and their chemistry just keeps increasing. While day to day is happy, the past is creeping up to haunt Gaston, and the only way to keep safe is to align with three others. And payment would be Frederica for a night!!! Will he let the love of his life be with these three men? Will she agree to it? And if it happens, will either be able to live with themselves? I loved this. It’s got some real sweetness mixed into a passion filled story. Alleman has given each character such distinct personalities, it’s a blast getting to know them. I give Frederica such kudos for her part, I am not sure I would have been understanding! And I love the reaction of all the men. It’s got some suspense filled scenes that bring it all home and set us up for the third book in the trilogy, and I can’t wait to listen to it.

Piers Ryman is fantastic as a pirate. He sounds exactly as I expect each to sound, and he delves into each so much that you would think there are multiple people narrating. I loved his performance and look forward to more of his story telling.
