I adored this story. The main character, Eric, is self-obsessed with career and while he loves his family, they sometimes take the back seat to his drive to succeed, provide, and make money in the busy world. This all comes crashing down around him when he receives an inheritance after the death of his father. The inheritance is a classic Aston Martin with the stipulation he must spend time each week at the garden allotment in a community garden or he loses the car. This brings up a lot of feelings in Eric with regards to the relationship between he and his father and the impact on “his” life. The story explores his feelings and his relationships (old and new) as he tries to meet the demands of the inheritance. The narrator did a wonderful job with distinguishing character voices and their personalities and the pacing was good. While the book can be read as a stand-a-lone, there is lead-in for next book in the series, I look forward to reading or listening to other books in the series as the characters grew on me and I am curious to where things go next. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my own request and have left this review voluntarily.
