Wow, red wedding. From the start of this story it was intense and didn’t let up. Quite an imaginative story that centers around exacting revenge. I’m a sucker for a good revenge story and this was quite pleasing. T.J. Payne tells great stories and this one is right up there with his other works. If you aren’t familiar with his work, I would say check this novel out or my favorite, My Father’s Basement.

There are a lot of characters in this story, however it is really plot driven and while you learn about the characters a bit, it really is about the events that take place at the wedding and human nature.

I really liked how the story was told more so from Amy’s point of view rather than from Caleb or Lilith’s perspective. I felt like hearing her as a guest of the wedding added a nice perspective to the whole story. I wasn’t really quite sure who to root for until some revelations are made and the whole mood of the story shifts.

P.J. Morgan was a great narrator for this story. I loved her overall narration as well as her character voices. She really put a lot of emotion into the characters and was able to make the tension palpable.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
