It turns into a dungeon boss litrpg story, which has become heavily written about in the past several years. It has some unique game mechanics to boost the players stats (which could never actually happen, but we’re suspending belief, aren’t we?). It attempts to make you care about the MC’s personal problems, a lot, but I never felt any connection to them. Those problems felt forced and I believe actually detracted from the story as a whole. Decent amount of action and fighting to keep the flow going at a moderate pace. The dungeon mob collecting was an interesting take, although rushed. The side characters aren’t bad and feel as if they actually have a personality. The last fight felt completely wrong. No player can fight a GM (invulnerable in every game) in their own game, unless something has been re-coded by someone inside the company. This wan’t touched upon and should have been. The last fight aside, I was entertained enough and have already obtained book 2.
