Hate writing negative reviews but felt compelled with this one. I LOVE Joel Leslie and believe he can do no wrong but am really disappointed he signed on for this misogynistic letdown. None of the characters have any redeeming qualities. The men put each other down using feminine slang and negative stereotypes, One character criticizes himself for having real feelings by asking himself, “When did I become a woman?” They mock and scorn a male character by pointing out his feminine characteristics. The lead female character is even referred to by a male as having all the negative qualities that give women a bad name. I’ve seen some argue that all of this was done purposefully in order to make a point, but I have to ask, “Why?” And if the point was simply to make a point, then why write a sequel (which I will not be listening to or reading)?
