When Amy gets an invitation for her old friend, Caleb’s, wedding. She’s not sure what to think. They had been close once but had fallen out a long time before. She considers going but when it comes to her attention that her parents have been invited as well, she’s suspicious. Her parents and ex convince her to go though. When they get there, Caleb seems strange and his fiancé, Lilith, is even stranger. Then the festivities begin, and people begin to die.

TJ Payne is quickly becoming a favorite psychological horror author of mine. After Intercepts, I was excited to check out this book. And it did not disappoint. To me, it was like a cross between the movie Would You Rather and Ready or Not.

I wasn’t sure who I wanted to root for. The characters were well-written, and the plot was engrossing. Lilith and Caleb were wonderfully eccentric characters, but at the same time, I wanted to root for Amy. She was a perfect final girl.

Plenty of blood, gore, and suspense. This was a book I had to finish in one setting.

Narration was perfect for this story.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
