Tom Abrahams is the most creative writer. He’s done something completely different here in creating a series of apocalyptic scenarios using the same characters as the focus of each book. In book one it’s a nuclear/ EMP blast. And the fallout/ literal ash that follows. And he does all of his writing cleanly with no swearing and other unpleasantness. How one can write the apocalypse so vividly without crassness is truly a remarkable talent. The rest of the series looks just as exciting as book one.
And you can’t have a great PA fiction story without narrator Kevin Pierce. Without him, it’s just not as intense and real. His narration just breaths life into an apocalyptic world.
