Mark is definitely in my top three dystopian authors. Every story is a nail biter and I’m always awaiting that next drop date. His stories keep me interested and do not have a lot of the cringy patriot cliches although they are impossible to totally avoid in this subject. He maintains a healthy balance.
I personally enjoy the biblical references and verses in his novels. This is a personal preference and a mentality shared among many in the dystopian community. Even if you aren’t a religious person, these religiously themed plots aren’t overly preachy and shouldn’t heavily effect your entertainment.
