I don’t recall why I added this title to my library. It probably was on sale, and I bought on a whim. When I finally got around to listening, my initial reaction after listening for half an hour was, “Why did I buy this book?”

But I stuck with it. And I’m glad I did, because the author provides some excellent insight into how to decipher someone else’s strategy. The key, as the author notes, is to correctly identify your adversary’s end game, then work backwards.

The lessons are equally appropriate for your own strategy – personal and professional. What’s your end game? Figure that out, then work backwards to determine what you need to do as intermediate strategies and tactics to get there.

The author has produced other titles. I plan to listen to those as well.
