I read this book when it first came out and it was crappy my very first Lily Morton. Needless to say, I was hooked from then. Being someone who studied in a British university, I have to say, it was such a great pleasure to relive all these quirky very English expletives. ? I mean some of those words, I haven’t heard them since lar I met one of my Irish professors who has a very short temper and is very sassy. Loved this book to the moon and back. It has a lovely amount of sass, a generous amount of wit and clever snark, and an epic love story between two very unlikely MCs. ? Oz is truly one of the fascinating and intriguing characters I have ever read. He’s simply too good to this mere mortal world. I also enjoyed Silas and his bravery and willingness to go to any length for his true love. They are a match made in Heaven. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And I hope I get to read more of them in the next books in the series. Joel Leslie also did a fantastic job narrating this story. I mean I loved it back then when I read it but now I love it even more because of his fantastic performance. He just gets that fine line between sassy and not obnoxious every time. A true master of performer and I always enjoy immensely when he narrates for miss Lily Morton. And I’m sure this is just the beginning of a loving relationship between Miss Morton and I. ? Loved it! ?
