In a single moment, Oz loses his boyfriend and job when he catches his boyfriend/boss cheating on him. For anyone else, this might be a crushing blow that sends them spiraling, but for Oz, he merely brushes it off and moves on. With irreverent humor, and a lot of charm and charisma, Oz applies, interviews, and is hired as the House Manager for an aristocratic country estate. Silas is the newly single Earl who owns the country estate, and whom Oz knows he shouldn’t crush on – after all it doesn’t work out well for Oz when he dates his boss. But what power does reason have when the heart is involved? Despite their attempts to stay professional, Oz and Silas have a chemistry that sparks and sizzles. There’s no stopping their chemical reaction.

I absolutely loved this book. Oz is one of the most delightful and enjoyable characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading in while. He’s funny, charming, with a clever wit and a biting tongue. And Silas! He’s just as enjoyable and wonderful as Oz – loyal, strong, and just as fun as Oz. The two of them together made me laugh out loud. Plus their relationship was beautiful and romantic, with some incredibly steamy moments that had me swooning. Lily Morton is an extremely talented writer – the prose flowed smoothly and the dialogue was crisp and natural.

I listened the audiobook which was performed by Joel Leslie, one of my favorite narrators. Joel Leslie did a fantastic job with his performance in this book. First, his accents were on point (and so sexy), and, despite me being an American, I had absolutely no problem understanding him. He brought this book to life and I could hardly put it down and ended up finishing it in one day. I started in the morning and only reluctantly paused the audio when I absolutely had to. I already know this audiobook is going in my re-listen to pile. It’s definitely in my favorites list.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a romantic comedy that makes their heart swoon and melt.
