The simulated hypnotic moving starfield on the main canopy bridge walls while in slipspace is a cool effect using real visual spectrum data.
This is LOL hilarious when main character says to a client:
“Trust is earned. Right now you are a paying charter… by the end of this we may become lifelong friends. or if you prove to be untrustworthy and put my crew or ship at risk then i toss you off the back ramp (while in space). he left her with her mouth hanging open. she asks Crusher is he always so charming and cheerful? what did he do? i believe he threatened to toss me out into space if i wasn’t who i said i was. he says ah that’s a bunch of bullshit. she says ya. he says ya, he’d make me do it. then he walks off.
typically the captain only threatens to “space people”, but he has actually done it before.
One of his trademarks in every book is that someone has to land “in a heap”, which is so lame.
Another funny statement: “Shut up and get back to work. Less talking & more tinkering.”
HILARIOUS: Grab your golden Frisbee and let’s get out of here. she asks what’s a frisbee. Twingo says i believe it’s a small flying creature from his home world that his kind hunts for food. she says so he thinks I’m going to eat the antenna? well he’s from a strange and primitive planet. many times if he doesn’t fully understand something, he will either try to eat it or mate with it.
There are so many mistakes in these books i doubt anyone proof reads them. like in chapter 14 when narrator says “Jason said. Jason said.”
The awesome hand to hand fight scene is chapter 18 will make Jason legendary with the legionnaires.
