I want to give this book 4.5 stars since, although I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, the scenes with Alex are becoming more and more annoying to me. Jason is progressing well along his path, his real life is becoming more complicated with the trial and his impending romance with Riley. Alex on the other hand just seems to circle through periods (in not particular order) of stupid arrogance, defeat and near insanity, while learning very little. The introduction of a new character opposed to Jason (no spoiler) is a good thing and I think this will improve the Alex parts of the book.
Overall, a very good continuation of the series. Looking forward to the next book .
