The narrator for this series is great he brings the characters to life which adds depth to the story. The story its self was just ok. I struggled with Laz seeming to know nothing about the magical community and being willing to trade is soul (for a few days) too not one but two unknown entities one of which goes by Morningstar. Gee I wonder who that could be (come on Laz that one is kind of obvious and really not a good idea).

Then there is the unused boon which he throws away for no reason other than to make more problems for himself in the future. He literally incurs massive debts in this book and get nothing in return for his troubles other than loosing several weeks in time to fairy. The writing is good with no real errors to distract form the story itself and kept my attention through out the book, but I’m not sure I’ll read the next book.
