The ending felt so trivial (I won’t share any spoilers), the MC had next to ZERO impact of the main antagonist, and let’s not even get started on how one dimensional the antagonist was. The story just felt extremely rushed, anticlimactic in the EXTREME, and just a piss poor excuse for a conclusion in my opinion. I know how hard it is tie everything together for a tidy ending most people will find pleasing, but this felt like no effort was put into it and author just wanted the series over and done with.
One somewhat “big reveal” was boiled down to “oh okay” and no further attention was paid to it (involving Fitz’s background). I just feel extremely let down by this, I don’t regret buying and listening to the series, but I do have huge problems with this part of it.
