This is one of the best books US-China relations books that I have ever listened to. Finished it in 4 days and will most likely listen to it again in the future. You don’t have to be a National Security expert to understand the subjects discussed in the book. On top of that, it is full of amazing stories and testimonies that help you understand the conflict in a more in-depth level. I would recommend this book to everyone who is interested in world affairs.
This book even talks about how China acquired its first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the author talk about this subject. The story behind that acquisition is truly fascinating. It also shows you the lengths China will go to acquire military technology when regular/legal means are not available. Great book!
