i thoroughly enjoyed the first book and the second was a decent follow up but i felt there were some misteps at the end that slightly diminished what could of been a fantastic sequel.
SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING!
Firstly around the last hour of the book there is an audio error that has two different audio tracks playing at the same time. It doesnt last long but it is a bit jarring.
Secondly, the MC makes an obvious stupid choice before the final battle that seemed out of character. I think the author did it to justify the last thing im going to complain about…
Lastly, the final chapter and the whole reason i think the author made the MC make such a stupid decision was simply to give Noah a redemption chapter. Felt a little forced but whatever.
Still a very enjoyable listen and worth a credit.
