I have now listened to a number of Vincent Zandri’s books, with main characters of Jack Marconi, Sam Savage, Dick Moonlight, and Steve Jobz. I have enjoyed them all (I guess that makes sense, since I keep looking for more books by Zandri). But one thing that I keep wondering is why have multiple series, all set in the same location (except for Sam Savage who is a sky marshal so can be located anywhere), and all with similar characters (I am having a hard time thinking of something that really distinguishes one from the other, and struggling to think of anything). On the bright side…if you like one of the books, you will likely enjoy all of them.
For the stories in this box set, I liked the last two best, and I just had a hard time getting into The Guilty until near the end of the story. They all had good twists, plenty of adventure, and enjoyable characters (I think Blood is my favorite).
I would say that, if you like stories with a main character who is an alpha male, hard drinker, handsome, and popular with the ladies, you won’t go wrong with any of Zandri’s books.
