First, the good – the story is interesting with the plot maintaining momentum. Yar, the protagonist, is a bit of a Marty Stue but let’s be honest – that fits the post apocalypse game lit genre pretty well. It’s also worth noting he is still underpowered compared to his opponents hunting him in the background.

Second, the meh – there are translation issues. Not a big deal if you don’t nit pick. Some of the word choices reflect cultural differences which may interest the observant.

Finally, the bad – avoid the audio version. Better yet, avoid Soundbooth Theater in general. The sound effects, differences in sound levels, and lousy voice transformations make this difficult to understand. Expect to need to change the speed and volume often to maintain a comfortable listening level and to repeat sections where the words are muddled by added sound effects.
