Mild spoilers.
Overall this was a decent listen. The story is there but overall the development seems lack luster. Like the first book (books?) there is decent character development but some of it is marred by the pacing of the story.
At some points the story goes off in odd directions creating ground work for future plot points that apprupty lead to nowhere and then go back to main story making things feel pretty jarring. Example, I’m a God and take this shiny rock use it to be stronger. I wont tell you how. Also go ahead and forget it exist for the rest of the book.
The MC fighting with himself over how he needs to get stronger and be smarter and train harder and then doing that for five minutes or so and then promptly forgetting about only to feel the same way again a few chapters got old. Also its time for Mommy to grow up. Stop going over the same emotion plot point over and over.
Lastly the ending was a weird mix of yay that guy had it coming and oh neat this cliche shit again. I guess what time trying to say is… Meh.
Voice actor was great though.
