The book is run of the mill material, but the narrator really pulls it down from there. To be fair, his rendering of the book is easily understood and well paced, but his attempts to add character to the voices fails quite badly. There is very little range in in his character voices, which in itself would be almost acceptable if it didn’t get much worse, Somehow he makes most of the characters sound a little dull witted; and his depiction of fear or anger falls between extremely annoying whining (like a petulant child with the timbre of chalk on a blackboard) to raspy voices sounding like somebody doing a caricature of the godfather.

Over-all, there is much better available.
