Most of the books that I have recently enjoyed are a sort of sandbox. Where the author tries to balance facts, ideas, and their own goals for the story. The good stories flow together in a natural way.
This is different, instead of a sandbox this is a carved statue. A roller coaster. A professional sprinter blazing down the track. It left me feeling like I felt after the original mistborn trilogy. I can recommend this book to literally anyone.
P.S. this first book starts pretty slow, but hey I ended up reading all 7 books, so I hope you hang in there 😀
