Star Fire is a story that needs to be heard. Forbes delivers a fine sci-fi survival narrative, presented in first person, that paints a picture of a horrible alien first contact. The characters will become endeared to you throughout and you will find yourself pulling hard for their victories.
The presentation put me in mind of Philip K. Dicks style in “Do Androids dream of electric sheep” The narration is fantastic, and there is no filler in the plot used to drag out pages.
Most importantly it left me craving more, to continue the story, to see the characters unfold further and see how it all finally ends. Wonderful work by a fantastic author
