Arthur woke up in a new world as a baby. a superhuman, fully cognizant, 20-something baby. That’s the big sticking point for me.

There’s nothing outright inappropriate going on but the author loves talking about how beautiful all the very young girls are. By the time the main character meets his first *cringe* love interest, she’s 6 or 7 and he’s mentally in his 30s! That’s called grooming. The folks that look after his family have a beautiful daughter and would you look at that! His little sister is also beautiful. Oh and all the “ladies” are into him.

The author’s focus on this makes me pretty uncomfortable.

There’s nothing that can challenge the protagonist (super dragon powers). He remembers everything about fighting from his past life (former warrior king), He has no trouble mastering magic (BECAUSE HE CAME FROM A WORLD THAT ALREADY HAD IT). It feels like a power fantasy where a grown man can bask in the adoration of young girls.

If it wasn’t for monsters, sword fighting, and magic, I’d give this book 1 star.
