Story wise this was a good story. It was interesting and a bit angsty and a lot dramatic but i still liked it. Maybe because im partial to shapeshifter stories. This is the first book i read from TJ Klune and it was good all in all. I did notice his habit of repeating certain things “my father always said i was gonna have shit” but it sorta integrated into the story so you can overlook that
Audiobook wise it was also good. Kirt graves did a good job.
The only thing that bothered me here (which is more story than audiobook but i dont think it would’ve bothered me had i been readimg not listening) is the “i said” “he said” sections
This is by no fault of kirt reaves because thats how the story was written but litening to the

Over and over in audio was a bit irritating and it didnt just happen once or twice but many times.
Overall though i like the series and im definitely going to read the next book
