Talk about opposites attract! Straight as an arrow Finn and Antonio Montoya? Finn tries to avoid his fate, but that is a truly lost cause. Antonio cleverly tricks him into a trap, very sexy times ensue and then the negotiations start, beginning with, “You will not eat the bad guys.” When was the last time that came up in your romance? I really enjoyed this book. It is the seventh in the Alphabits series, but the first one I have read or listened to. It is obviously not a standalone and there are references, back stories and world building I missed the significance of but, I was intrigued enough to plan on going back and working my way through the series in order. I find it interesting sometimes to jump into a well established series to see how well an author can make me care about the characters and want to know more about them. These authors did that for me. The plot of tracking down those involved in the child trafficking ring is interesting and well done. The negotiations for how the Alphabits and STAHP teams will work together from both sides of the law were fascinating. I want to know all about these characters. The narrator does a superb job. He has to handle everything from a frightened child to shapeshifting alphas and omegas in their heat and nails every one. Highly recommend this entry and this series.
