The fall that wasn’t a fall. A series of magic weaved between worlds tying worlds, cultures and belief structures together is what unites this work in retelling of myth and how we interact with them in our lives. There’s so much here that could really elevate this work into something glorious but there’s just a bit missing here. What is excellent though is the narration. Sean Duggar brings each character to life with grace and passion and really nails the derision and wonder in the demons, angels and the like.
The better parts are when the worlds blend and you can experience the wonder and humor and awe. There’s a real urgency with The Fall and the machinations of each group vying for power is interesting but the end result is lacking.
