This was a cute story. It had a few different tropes going on. Enemies to Lovers, Forbidden Step-brother romance, not looking to fall in love because of damaging past etc. It had all the feels about how Cole and Katie come to terms with the bad examples Her father and his mother made and how it damaged them for any real relationships. Things get really complicated when his dad and her mother announce they are getting married. Katie feels it’s wrong for them to have a relationship given this news. I found the H to be a little more reasonable and likable in this story. The h is OK as well but a little more angry and whiny. And not to give any spoilers but there was one character in particular I would have loved to see get what was coming to her but that part of the story was just kind of left hanging.

The Narrators were good. I always like Jeffrey Kafer. His voice is deep, smooth and pleasant. I liked Heather Costa as well but felt her voice was a little mature for a college aged student. And please don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean “old” I mean more mature and womanly.

Overall it was a cute, fun read.
