Scott is living his dream. He’s the captain of a Stanley Cup-winning hockey team. But he’s living the dream alone. He misses the one who got away. Becca. Becca still lives in their home town where she is an ER nurse. She’s happy, successful, has a great family and best friend but she has never stopped loving Scott. She broke up with him because she was worried about his career, the travel, the puck-bunnies. Now she regrets it. She’s avoided him for years but when he comes home for the summer and wants to try again, can she be brave enough to give them a second chance at love?

Sweet, saccharine sweet. Scott and Becca are nice. Their love is nice. It’s all nice. It’s also predictable and lacked depth. The characters are one-dimensional and there is no obstacle to overcome, no reason to root for them. The conflict came prior to the story. There was no range of emotion, no anger, no humor, no angst. Lots of sex, little substance.

Tim Paige and Sarah Puckett do a nice job with the narration bringing as much emotion into the story as possible.
