This is one of those books that begs for a review to be written, it’s impossible to just star it and move on. Robbie and Kelly are characters that we have come to care about in the first two books of the series. I admit from the blurb, that I was confused a bit. I thought perhaps this was a story about Robbie before he met the Bennett pack. Not true, this story takes place at least a year and a half after Ravensong and nothing is what it seems. Because this story definitely needs to be experienced without spoilers, I will leave it at that. This story is about love and betrayal; forgiveness and family. It definitely made me tear up several times and while the ending is happy for Robbie and Kelly another Bennett brother is left in pain. Brothersong can’t release soon enough.

Let me tell you something. This author can write! If you haven’t read or listened to a TJ Klune book yet, it is imperative to do so. I don’t know any author who can drag me through the emotional ringer like he does. One moment you’re crying, then you’re hiccup laughing because he knows how to infuse the story with such real feeling. I highly recommend this book. Also Kirt Graves narration, he is amazing.
