5 Stars!

I read Risk Taker when it first came out as a standalone and while I enjoyed it, I was frustrated with Ivo and Henry’s inability to just talk things out. Now, having already listened to the previous two installments and knowing what Ivo and Henry’s reasoning for not talking were, I wasn’t as annoyed, and while the book can be read as a standalone, I found it even more enjoyable this second time around.

Joel’s narration was amazing and he truly brought all these characters to life for me. Henry was definitely my favorite, mostly because I adored his sarcastic wit, but I was also kind of partial to Ivo’s accent. *melts* This is the kind of series that showcases Joel’s talent and I had so much fun while listening to it, even if there was a moment that turned me into a bawling mess, too, which strangely enough didn’t happen while reading it. *shrugs*

Anyway, I loved this audiobook and the whole series and I can’t recommend it enough.
