First, I admit that i love the geeks and Noah is a geek! Smart, attractive and funny, he gets the attention of Captain Laura Bladon although admittedly they were first a little more like enemies. But the sparks!
The background story is that the aliens have invaded earth and mass destruction led to only few survivors. These survivors banded together to overcome the aliens and I loved how they followed other characters besides the soldiers. There is continued unfurling of the question as to what the aliens want to do to humans and this story (as well as others in the series) are heart pounding. I have to admit that I usually like happy stories that don’t cause me to nervously chew on my nails even though I know there will be an HEA. 🙂
Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook are great as they have been for the other books of this series. I love that this series is in AE- I’ve read all the books and listening to the audiobook brings this to a new dimension.
