This story really takes off from the end of book 1. The conflict is introduced early and keeps the story humming along. I like the introduction of the Mom’s storyline outside of just the little snippets she was in in the first book. The ragtag bunch Maddie teams up with to get through this craziness is a lot of fun too. Great Story!
My only complaint is about the narration. Kevin Pierce is great, but sometimes he would use his regular voice for Maddie and sometimes a girl voice. It got confusing at times, but the dialogue tags would bring it back in. Minor issue and didn’t take away from the story.
